CEIP Bec de l’àguila is a state kindergarten and primary  school in San Vicente del Raspeig, a university town in the surroundings of Alicante. There are 19 classes, 6 for kindergarten, 12 for primary and one for pupils with special needs. In total there are 500 pupils in the school, who range from 3 to 12 years of age. We have  23 teachers, 2 part-time ENN teachers, 2 assistants, and a headteacher.  

Our school is running a project-based learning approach in the kindergarten and the staff are trained to work on key competences in primary education. Currently our school is also making a big effort to introduce digital skills as a part of the curriculum. We also take part in a great number of extra-curricular activities to enable our pupils to have vital experiences, but being part of a European project is specially significant because it boosts motivation for learning languages and meeting other cultures.
